EN54-7: Fire detection and fire alarm systems
EN54-7 is the European harmonised standard for point-type smoke detectors using scattered light. The BHH-31A is independently tested under EN54-7 for sensitivity, stability, and response time across its full temperature and humidity range.
DNV (Det Norske Veritas) Marine Type Approval
DNV type approval covers vibration, shock, inclination, EMC, salt-spray corrosion, and humidity testing appropriate for shipboard installation. The BHH-31A is listed for accommodation, service, and control spaces.
Lloyd's Register Marine Approval
Lloyd's Register approval makes the BHH-31A acceptable to LR-classed vessels and offshore units. Certificate references are available with each shipment on request.
Marine Equipment Directive (MED) — EU
The BHH-31A is marked in line with the EU Marine Equipment Directive, allowing installation on EU-flagged vessels. MED conformity documentation is available for surveyor inspection.
Documentation & Traceability
Every BHH-31A we ship can be supplied with a documentation pack that class surveyors and AHJs expect to see:
- CE marked in accordance with the applicable EU Directives.
- Independently tested by notified/third-party laboratories for EN54-7.
